CONTENT SYNOPSIS :

This course deals with the classification  of structures and functions of primary health care of Family Health such as maternal and child health, women’s and men’s health, adolescent health, health care of individuals with special needs and  health of older persons. Emphasis is given to the influences and roles of Family Health on the health status and disease pattern of individual, family and community. This is followed by the study of Family Health services provided by  the public, private sectors and non-governmental organizations  as the component of Preventive Medicine. The course helps the students to possess knowledge, skills and attitudes on the importance of holistic approach to patients, their family and society.

(Kursus ini membincangkan pengelasan struktur dan fungsi Kesihatan Keluarga yang terdiri dari Kesihatan ibu dan anak, wanita & lelaki dewasa, remaja, individu dengan keperluan khas, dan warga tua dari segi Jagaan Kesihatan Primer. Penekanan diberikan kepada pengaruh dan peranan Kesihatan Keluarga terhadap tahap kesihatan dan pola penyakit individu, keluarga dan masyarakat. Ini di ikuti dengan perbincangan mengenai perkhidmatan Kesihatan Keluarga diperingkat sektor awam, swasta dan organisasi bukan kerajaan sebagai komponen Perubatan Pencegahan. Kursus ini membantu pelajar memperolehi pengetahuan, kemahiran mengenai dan sikap terhadap kepentingan pendekatan holistik kepada pesakit, keluarga dan masyarakat.)
